There were some issues setting this up that we still haven't resolved to our satisfaction. For whatever reason, we are unable to make a directory indexable at the root level (http://econ.appstate.edu/). By default, the Redhat/Apache test page will be displayed if there is no file called index.htm or index.html in the root web directory (this is what you'll currently see when you go to econ.appstate.edu). Most likely, this issue is a "security feature" that we cannot override... What we can do is create a sub directory that is indexable (http://econ.appstate.edu/papers/) and redirect anyone who arrives at econ.appstate.edu/ to econ.appstate.edu/papers/ - I also see from the information that you sent me that you can manually set up an index file that points to each template and sub directory, which would allow you to use the root level address for the RePEc bot to index your papers. Anyhow, lemme know if you need anything else. Here's the information to connect to the econ directory so you can upload your data: user: whiteheadjc pass: [your password] host: pm.appstate.edu path: /home/www/dept/econ Enjoy : ) - C --- Christopher M Larson ASU Webmaster's Office Appalachian State University Boone, NC 28608 larsoncm@appstate.edu http://webmaster.appstate.edu/~larsoncm/
